The application vvvviiiiddddeeeeooooppppaaaannnneeeellll provides an easy-to-use graphical interface to
control all the installed video hardware. It allows you to set various
hardware parameters through various sliders, menus and pushbuttons in
panels sorted by function. For example, all the common controls for
input signal control are presented in one pane of the main panel.
It connects to the video daemon on the default or named server and reads
the list of controls available. It then groups these controls based on
whether they're considered professional or common, and presents the
common controls on a panel.
The common controls on a video panel might include _h_u_e or _c_o_n_t_r_a_s_t.
On the various menus are selections for changing the device (if more than
one device is installed) and for bringing up the professional controls,
as well as running the common applications related to video input and
output.
